As young collegiettes, we seem to take the idea of carpe diem, or carpe noctum (for you night owls) to heart. We want to see and experience everything life has to offer. This has us traveling left and right, here and there. We make spur of the moment decisions, whether it’s a weekend-long trip or a night out in DC. Life is full of unexpected possibilities, so be prepared for them with a great beauty regime! While you’re making these memories, there will come a time when you need to quickly freshen up that look of yours, but you may not have a lot of time or products to get the job done. Have no fear! Here are a few must-have items that will go unnoticed in your bag.
Colgate Wisps Whoever thought of this idea was a complete genius! Let’s say you slept somewhere overnight, and of course, you didn’t pack a toothbrush. Colgate wisps are the perfect solution to clean up that smile when you are in a bind. They also fit perfectly in even the smallest of handbags.
Face cleansing wipes A good facial cleanser will make you feel fresh. They are easily disposable so removing day-old makeup will be a breeze.
Mini Moisturizer After cleansing your face, it’s always important to moisturize your skin, especially in the winter. It’s very possible your favorite moisturizer comes in a travel size, so it’s something to stock up on! Your skin will thank you.
Mini deodorant/spray, Roller-ball Perfume In every restroom, there isn’t going to be a shower fully equipped with lovely little soaps, so it’s best to improvise by using some form of mini-deodorant and perfume. Roller-ball perfumes are great for on-the-go!
Makeup I’m sure most of you already have a few makeup staples in your bag, but mascara, blush, and lip balm or gloss are simple ways to give yourself a more fresh and put together look. Mascara can wake up the eyes, blush gives a little life and color to the cheeks, and lip balm can make your lips look soft and healthy.
Mini comb/brush It’s nice to easily tame your tresses when you don’t have time to do a complete style. Store a small brush and/or comb in your bag, and you’re guaranteed to have a good hair day.
