Winter is great because cold weather means snow and classes were cancelled this past Tuesday. You hopefully spent the day not worrying about homework and instead spent your entire day on Netflix. Sounds good, right? Well while your spending time in sweats, or in your pajamas under a blanket, make sure to have these foods handy. Your day spent doing nothing will be even better.
Pancakes
Nothing said Snow Day more than when your mom or dad would make a big breakfast, like pancakes. Not having class means you can spend more time treating yourself to a homemade breakfast. If you feel really adventurous make the batter yourself. But, either way indulging during your morning will make staying inside that much better.
Soup Â
Soup is pretty much a winter staple, but it does the trick to warm you up after time in the frozen outdoors. Whether its tomato soup, chicken noodle, or whatever you prefer soup is always a great addition to a snow day.
Chili
Chili is another great option for a cold snow day. It’s heartier than a soup and is an easy way to have a good meal on a lazy day. Add cheese, sour cream, or chives to go with it.
Macaroni and Cheese
This may be a common college meal, but it’s also a good standby for snow days when you are in your dorm or apartment all day.
Hot Chocolate or Hot Tea
When watching movies or television, or just sitting and relaxing hot chocolate is a wonderful way to end any snow day. If hot chocolate is not really your thing, a cup of tea is always another option.
