Your family asked you what?
So break just ended and as amazing as it was, I know my family was super noisy this year about my life. With a family as spread out as mine, it’s no surprise that everyone tries to spend the entire BREAK catching up on life. Here are some typical and not so typical questions, my friends and I were asked over break.
How are your studies? (I just got done with exams, do you really think that’s what I want to talk about?)
So I heard BC was a big party school? Doing a lot of drinking? (Awkward laugh and subject change)
So you’re not married right? (Nope… 19, a little young, Grandma)
You know college is when I build up my tolerance level? (Cue drinking stories from the 70’s)
RelationshipsMeet a nice boy yet?
Dating anyone?
My friend’s son goes to BC. I’ll set you two up!
Some Future QuestionsSo what are you planning on doing with your life?
What are you doing this summer?
What classes are you taking next semester?
So between avoiding conversations about my love life, drinking habits, and unplanned future, I really did have a great break. Hope you survived the awkward questions, family dinners, and had a fun welcome into 2014.
