WPUNJ Collegiettes Weigh In on What They’re Thankful For

Last week Her Campus WPUNJ held its first contest on its Instagram and Twitter platforms asking collegiettes to send us a picture of what they’re most thankful for this holiday. Here are our five favorite participants who tweeted and instagrammed us their pictures using the hashtags #hcwpunjthanks and #hcwpunjthankful.

 

1. lancercheer23: “I am thankful for my family this year because without them I would not be where I am today.  They are the people that shaped who I am.  I am very thankful to have had one of the best great grandpas who has taught me everything I know today.  He was my role model.  I am happy he is no longer suffering, but in heaven watching down on me and protecting me.  If it wasn’t for him, I would not be in college.  Always put your family first because they are the ones that will never leave your side even after they pass away.  Don’t forget to tell your families that you love them because one day it may be too late.  I love my family more than anything. #hcwpunjthanks” 

2. stephy_altman: “I’m thankful for the grandparents I had in my life.  Although they are gone, I am grateful they are no longer suffering.  I am grateful to have said goodbye to them before they passed.  This ring is from my grandma, and I wear it every day.  The bear is from my granndpa and I sleep with him every night.  I am grateful they are with their loved ones up in heaven, and I’m the most grateful that they are watching over my family and me. #hcwpunjthanks”

Jenna is the Co-Founder, President and Social Media & Events Director of the WPUNJ branch of Her Campus.  She is a senior Marketing major with a minor in Public Relations.  In the fall 2014 semester, she interned with In Touch, Life & Style and Closer Weekly at Bauer Publishing in the public relations department.  In the spring 2015 semester, she is interning with Jaguar Land Rover North America in the network development department.  She is the Student Representative for the PR & Marketing Committee of WPUNJ, a MTV Trendspotter for MTV Insights and blogger of collegiate advice.  She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Lambda Pi Eta honor societies, and will graduate Magna Cum Laude.  Previously, Jenna worked as a Student Ambassador and Tour Coordinator in the Admissions Office at WPUNJ, was a member of the Student Public Relations Association (SPRA) and was a publicity intern for Kim "Kim D" DePaola, owner of POSCHE Boutique in Wayne, NJ, who is featured on the Real Housewives of New Jersey.  Jenna's interests include dancing, shopping and hanging out with friends.  She loves everything pink and Britney Spears!
