Good news for those girls out there that don’t fit into the clothes that are made for the size 0 models! There is an event coming very soon for your delightment. It is the Puerto Rico Plus Week, this event consists of showing fashion designs for those girls who don’t follow the status “skinny” quo. There will also be clothing fashion options for men, and kids. The models have a very varied scale, so you’ll love their diversity! (I know you wanna see them, so here is the sneak peek) The collection has a variety of outfits, that go from lingerie to bridal gowns. There is a big list of designers and store brands such as:

The event has 2 days of presentation, being on November 30 and December 1. It will take place in the Doubletree By Hilton, that is located on San Juan. I sincerely hope this helps all the girls out there who are going through body accepting issues, because that’s the main factor about this event, to embrace yourself for who you really are.

Suzzette Martinez Malavet is a senior at the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras studying Information and Journalism. She loves photography, shoes, fashion, social media, traveling and exercising outdoors. She has interned at the Capitol of Puerto Rico, Diálogo Digital, Wapa TV, Telemundo Network, U.S. Census Bureau's Center for New Media and Promotions and the Corporate Communication/Sales & Marketing Department of the U.S. Mint in DC, but her proudest accomplishment was in Spring 2013 when she founded the very first HC Chapter in Puerto Rico, Her Campus UPR.
