1. What activities are you involved in on campus?
I’ve been a member of the club volleyball team for four years, I’m a member of Humane at Tulane (HAT), and I’m a member of the National Society of Leadership. I have also played and play on many intramural teams including flag football, indoor volleyball, and sand volleyball.
2. What’s an activity you wish you could be involved in but never had the chance?
I wish I could have been more involved in the Breaking Waves hip-hop club. I went to a few practices sophomore year but I didn’t have time to go every week and correctly learn the routines. I love dancing for fun and breaking it down at The Boot, but it was really fun and interesting to actually learn the mechanics behind the dance moves.
3. Who is one celebrity that inspires you and why?
A celebrity who inspires me is Beyonce Knowles. She is so incredibly talented but is so humble about it. She has a remarkable work ethic and strives to be the best she can be every day. She also keeps her personal life separate from her job, which I respect immensely. And she’s just an all-around amazing human being with a voice of an angel and unconquerable dance moves.
4. Does senior year feel different than other years? How?
Senior year feels different because it’s full of “lasts.” Everything you do and every event you attend this year is your last and it’s an eerie, creepy feeling. I hate that I actually need to grow up and be a real adult in a few months so I’m trying to live my last year in college to the fullest.
5) Any advice for underclassmen?
Pertaining to my last answer, the advice that I would give to underclassmen is to enjoy every second you have at Tulane. Take advantage of the activities, the nightlife, and of course the city of New Orleans as a whole. You will never again in your life live in a city like New Orleans or attend a university like Tulane. Don’t take your time here for granted.
