Lady Gaga is back and better than ever with her latest album, ARTPOP.
After canceling the remaining dates of her “Born This Way Ball” earlier this year due to a hip injury, Lady Gaga makes it up to her fans by delivering a delicious combination of bubblegum pop and techno beats on ARTPOP.
The first track “Aura”, which will be featured on the soundtrack for the film Machete Kills, begins the musical ride with a fierce Spanish sound similar to those found on Gaga’s previous album, Born This Way. From the galactic “Venus” to the funky R&B hit “Do What U Want” featuring R.Kelly, Gaga presents a wide range of upbeat tempos and sassy lyrics. She pays homage to Donatella Versace on “Donatella,” flips the script on a funky ‘70s vibe disco anthem called “Fashion!,” and switches her vocal ability into overdrive with the melancholic “Gypsy”.
Gaga’s exquisite compilation of genres and acts such as Zedd, T.I., and producer Madeon on ARTPOP sends you on a time travel through the 1970s, late ‘80s, and ‘90s club scene. Each track offers powerful pop and disco beats that makes it hard not to sing along and belt out the outrageous lyrics, dancing to the synths blasting throughout the record. ARTPOP delivers fierce attitude and hypnotizing sounds that let Gaga’s fans, whom she playfully dubs “little monsters”, know that “Mother Monster” is back to conquer the music charts!
