Campus Style: Opposites Attract

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

Name: Martha Robinson

Year: First

Course: French and Spanish

Spotted: Front of Portland

Forget Michael Jackson ‘Black or White’, Martha shows how these two opposites couldn’t go any better together! From head to toe Martha keeps it cool and consistent with her Topshop leggings and shirt, Primark bag and jumper, H&M leather jacket and New Look pumps. Personally, I love her bag with the two texture style, very popular this winter, and seen in other stores such as Zara (and probably considerably more). It just goes to show hidden gems can be found in the aisles of Primark, you just to have the eye and the imagination and it seems Martha definitely has this!

Martha’s Advice: First of all, ‘find a few staple items that you can wear again but with different things’  and mix it up with what you’ve already got and change it up by wearing it in other outfits. A money saver and an outfit creator all in one! Secondly, Martha knows ‘A good pair of shoes make or break an outfit’ whether it’s a comfortable pair of New Balances or a cute pair of pumps (more likely to be trainers with these campus hills) they are just as essential in sealing the deal to a good outfit.

Sheetal studied History at the University of Nottingham and was Campus Correspondent during her final year, before graduating in July 2014. She is currently jumping between jobs, whilst still writing for HC in her spare time. She may or may not be some of these things: foodie, book addict, world traveller (crazy dreamer!), lover of cheese, Australian immigrant, self-proclaimed photographer, wannabe dancer, tree hugger, lipstick ruiner, curly-haired and curious. She hopes for world peace and dreams that someday, cake will not make you fat.
