15 Perfect Things in Life

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at American chapter.

Life is full of those simple, yet awesome moments that make you happy to be alive. Here are just some of my “best things in life.” See if any of these resonate with you too:

  1. Waking up and realizing you have another hour left to sleep. It makes you want to jump around in happiness, except you probably want to actually sleep instead.

  2. Buying something and the cashier telling you there’s a “buy one get one free” deal. Yes please, I like free stuff.

  3. Warm showers on a cold day. There’s something about a hot shower that makes everything better on a freezing December night.

  4. Laughing so hard your stomach hurts and you can’t breathe. Maybe not the part where your stomach hurts…but laughing is like breathing for me.

  5. Getting into bed after a really long day. Need I say more?

  6. Changing into sweats the second you get home. There is nothing comfier.

  7. Getting to the bus stop as soon as the bus arrives. I can be very impatient sometimes so not having to wait is amazing.

  8. Being late and freaking out but then finding out you’re actually on time or early. Seriously I can’t stand being late to things. I’m the kind of person who shows up 10 minutes early to anything.

  9. Having a night to yourself. Maybe it’s because I can be quite an introvert at times, but I love being by myself sometimes. There’s nothing better.

  10. Getting a text or message from a friend you haven’t heard from in awhile. Who doesn’t get happy when this happens?

  11. Finding the perfect outfit and looking amazing all day. I don’t know what it is, but having an awesome outfit makes your whole day great.

  12. Having spontaneous plans come together perfectly. I just love when crazy, unplanned things work out.

  13. Finding something you lost. There’s nothing I hate more than losing things. It irritates me to no end until I find what I lost.

  14. Heart to hearts with a best friend. I’m definitely a sucker when it comes to these.

  15. Crossing things off a to-do-list. Post-its are my best friends and come in handy when I write lists. Nothing is more satisfying than scratching off items on a list.
