Celebrating Our Veterans!

  Celebrating Our Veterans

The fact is most of us still have to attend class and work on Veterans Day, so sadly it often illicits little observance.  The official U.S. holiday is sometimes mixed up with with Memorial Day, which is an entirely different holiday.

Memorial Day is in remembrance of all the diseased that died while serving. Veterans Day is more of an joyous occasion, that honors all veterans in appreciation of their service.

These  are simple ways to participate in Veterans Day festivities.

1. Attend a Veterans Day Program:
Le Moyne’s WLMU is Hosting an On-Air Veteran Roll Call on November 11th all afternoon in its Grewen Hall Radio Station.

2. Visit a Veterans Hospital:
Thank the patients for their bravery. No one should go unappreciated.

3. View A Flag Raising Ceremony:
Enjoy the view, & enjoy patriotic songs
