3 Things To Love About SJU During the Holidays

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SJU chapter.

Believe it or not, it is already November. Before we know it, we will be in full fledged holiday season.

Here are three things you should look forward to during the holidays at SJU. If you are a freshman, keep an eye out for these things, and if you are an upperclassman start getting excited for all the fantastic happenings Hawk Hill has to offer for the holiday season:

1.Christmas Decorations. Once the holidays are upon us, you will certainly see it. Decorated Christmas trees are put in most of the buildings, and all of the lampposts are decorated with greens and a classic maroon ribbon. It is absolutely beautiful and gets everyone in the holiday spirit. It truly looks like a post card while walking to class down Lapsley Lane.

2.Campion Christmas Dinner. One of the best nights to eat at Campion. Do not let the huge line scare you; it is definitely worth the wait. Butlers walk around offering appetizers while you wait to swipe in. Once you are in, expect an overwhelming amount of food: appetizers, salads, sandwiches, steak, seafood, pasta, and a room full of amazing desserts. There is even great music being performed for your enjoyance. You will see upperclassmen that will make the appearance back to Campion just for this event.

3. Christmas concerts/recitals. Various groups at SJU perform Christmas shows that add to the anticipation of the upcoming holidays. They are great events, so keep an eye out closer to the holidays for many more details on when and where these take place. The preliminary dates are: The University Singers Concert will be on December 2. The Jazz Band Concert on December 5, and the Student Guitar Recital & Student Voice Recitals on December 9.

Hopefully you will keep all of these things in mind when the holiday season quickly falls upon us. Enjoy all that SJU offers during this time of year!
