Known by many simply as “Reece,” you’ll notice his bright blue eyes and long blonde dreadlocks. Get to know this cutie and you’ll see he also has an attractive character. Reece is a friendly, easy-going and multifaceted transfer student majoring in Communication Studies. This aspiring journalist stays busy with his photography and many water-related activities, which include surfing, boating, and fishing – AND he has involvement in the school’s SCUBA club. HC: What’s your sign and when is your birthday?
I’m a Pisces, My birthday is March 5th.
HC: What advice do you find most inspiring?
Be humble and don’t lie.
HC: What is your favorite quote?
Find out what’s going on, tell the truth, and be accurate. I’m not sure who said it though…
HC: Do you have a favorite artist?
No, but I listen to a wide range of music. I’m really into Modern Reggae.
HC: Share your thoughts on social networking
I don’t use social networks because I’m lazy- it’s too much work! Also too much drama.
HC: Do you have a favorite spot in Wilmington or on campus?
The State Park on Carolina Beach. It’s great for fishing and boating. I actually just went fishing just yesterday. In general, being on campus makes me smile. It’s just a great environment.
HC: Tell us your guilty pleasure
Pez Candies. I just like the candies, I don’t collect the dispensers.
HC: Which feature do you receive the most Compliments on?
My dreads! People are always asking to touch them. Sometimes I’ll say yes- girls only!
HC: In a significant other, would you favor spontaneity, or stability?
I’d say you’ve gotta have both. If she’s not spontaneous, I’ll get bored. If she’s not stable then what’s the point?
HC: Do you have any pet peeves?
I hate it when people talk too much. I also hate ignorance.
HC: What makes you laugh?
Fox News!
HC: What is your goal and how would you like to make your mark on others?
My goal is to expose other’s lives through journalism. I aspire to make my life and work one and the same. I want to be a person that people know they can trust.
HC: Do you remember your childhood dream job?
I wanted to be a Marine Biologist.
HC: Have you traveled to any interesting places or studied abroad?
Since elementary school, I moved about every 2 years along the east coast. And because of my parents’ jobs, I moved internationally while growing up. First to Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean then to China. I completed my first year of college in China and want to return when I graduate. I’ve visited about 30 foreign countries overall. I can speak Chinese and a little Cantonese.
