Campus Cutie: Matt Kline

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Ship chapter.

Name: Matthew Kline

Year: Sophomore

Hometown: Hanover, PA

Concentration: Communication/Journalism

Relationship Status: Taken

Describe yourself in three words: Edgy, but polite.

Most Played Song on your iPod: It changes weekly. Right now it’s the Arctic Monkeys’ cover of Drake’s new song “Hold On We’re Going Home.”

Favorite Class at SU: I really couldn’t choose. Right now it might be Intro to Public Administration.

Little Known Fact: I am a guitarist and singer.

Proudest Accomplishment: I have a lot of proud moments. I think my proudest was being able to beat my stage fright and start performing on stage. It led to me doing a lot of live music and getting into theater.

If you could be a superhero, which one would you be and why?

Deadpool. He’s the best antihero ever. Besides, who wouldn’t want to be an invulnerable, teleporting, katana-weilding smart ass?

What are you involved with on campus?

I’m the Arts & Entertainment Editor for The Slate and the Vice President of Act V Productions.

What is your favorite SU memory?

Honestly, it’s hard to choose. I’ve met so many great friends here and have way too many memories and stories to count. I think just the fact that I’ve had the opportunity to come to SU and experience all this is my favorite memory.

What do you look for in a significant other?

Personality and humor. Interesting and intelligent women really get my curiosity. When they are also witty, sarcastic and “punny” they get my attention.

Who is your celebrity crush?

Oh man. It’s a tie between Karen Gillan and Anna Kendrick.

Anna Seils is currently an English major at Shippensburg University with a minor in Communication/Journalism. She is a campus correspondent for the Shippensburg University chapter of My Campus, head editor of the Ship Life section of The Slate and is an intern for a Gettysburg area magazine. She hopes to pursue a career in publishing.
