How To Get Your Dog Ready for Halloween

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

There comes a point in our lives when trick-or-treating isn’t exactly socially acceptable anymore. Some of us may be hitting that wall sooner rather than later, but we still really want to do it anyway. Mercifully, there is a way around it all: dress up your dog in a super cute costume! We all know the classics like a wiener dog dressed as a hotdog, but there is a whole world of doggy apparel waiting for you!

You can go the dog-people route and dress them up in costumes that make their front ends look like little people!
For example: a little Gators football player!

Or a cheerleader!

Or as super-dog!

Obviously, dogs as little people can be the cutest ever, but there are a lot of other options as well. Your pup can be a viciously wild, yet cuddly, animal!

Or a ride for a jockey or anything else that may want to ride your noble steed into battle.

Or a part of the Empire’s army as an ATAT… or even the Deathstar if you have a really extra fluffy pal.

Or as Cerberus, the terrifying, yet adorable guard dog of hell.

Dress your puppy pal in something that will best fit its personality and that will keep it comfortable over those long miles. Remember that October in Florida isn’t always a cold affair, so keep Fido cool with a portable water bowl. If you just want to dress him up and take him out, Yogurtology has doggy fro-yo to keep him cool and show him off. Enjoy your Halloween, and remember: a woman’s best friend likes a new outfit, too.
