Meet this week’s HCND campus celebrity Mike Shepardson, he’s TEE-rific!!
Mike is the Notre Dame Campus Manager for a company called University Tees. The company was started at Miami University in Oxford, OH when two college students were fed up with the frustrating process of buying custom made t-shirts, so they started their own company, University Tees.
Mike began working with University Tees going into his junior year, and has stayed very busy ever since. He has helped with not only shirts for numerous Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s events, but wine glasses, rain jackets, and sunglasses too. In addition to his job with University Tees, Mike is on the Notre Dame Men’s Lacrosse team, and is working towards a psychology major and business minor.
Among all of the events Mike has helped create shirts for, he is most proud of all of the charity events for which University Tees has made shirts. The company automatically discounts the products made for any charity event or fundraiser. Mike really enjoys being a part of business that provides the shirts for people who provide help to so many others.
Mike has loved his work with University Tees, but after graduating this year, he will no longer be the Campus Manager for Notre Dame. He will need someone to take over as campus manager so ND and SMC can stay loyal University Tees’ customers. In the future, Mike would like to do something in finance, and work in sales. His dream job would be anything that allows him to travel and meet people, keeping him social while forming strong business connections.
Whether it’s a 10K or 10 girls starting a club, Mike Shepardson can help bring your shirt ideas to life. You might even be wearing a shirt made by him right now and you don’t even realize it! So next time you put on your SMC spirit jersey, drink out of your Junior Parent’s Weekend wine glass, or trudge through the rain in your Ryan Hall windbreaker, thank Mike Shepardson for his work with University Tees!
