This semester students have ditched their old school satchels for backpacks, preferring to carry their books around in a bag that is both cool and practical. Although backpacks are historically associated with nerds and small children, the rise of the geek chic trend means that we can now wear them with pride (while also relieving our backs from the pain of a shoulder bag!) Lucy teams her Kooples leather jacket and converse with a Fjallraven Kanken, a backpack originally designed for Swedish school children in 1978 which has recently become the fashion world’s most wanted accessory. Get on this trend now, not only will you please your chiropractor, but you’ll also feel ready to befriend that hot guy in Art History with intellectual gabble.Â
