The school year has begun: work is quickly piling up, hours in the library take up most weeknights, and we are reminded of the late night studying and stressful papers that consume us collegians during the school year. What could possibly be worse?
2 weeks of addictive show premieres! This is exactly what I didn’t need, something else to add to my procrastination tendencies and another roadblock to my academic success. But which would I rather do, watch 10 episodes of my favorite TV drama or write my 5 page journalism paper? I think you can take a guess… Here is a recap of a few premieres that you may have missed this weekend, and a preview of the ones we are anxiously awaiting.

If you missed the premieres of…

Greys Anatomy Thurs 9/26
Greys Anatomy’s Season 9 finale was an emotional and jaw clenching series of suspense and drama. Lets recap the scandals that all took place in this episode: Meredith was in the process of getting a C-section, Avery saved a little girl from a burning bus, Arizona cheated on Callie with the new hot doctor, Lauren, Alex admitted his love for Jo, and Bailey was just about to apologize to Dr. Webber when he got electrocuted. Wow! What a show.
The Season 10 2-hour premiere, without spoiling everything, brings all of these events together. Giving us a look at the drama, sex, tears, and joys that Greys Anatomy has to come.

Saturday Night Sat 9/28
TINA FEY! The premiere of Saturday Night Life is not only hosted by one of the funniest women in the TV and film business, Tina Fey, but the presence of this SNL alum creates a feeling of nostalgia for the SNL that we have all missed. Tina, girl, you rock. Go watch on http://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/ if you want a few laughs! Oh and her skit making fun of the show Girls had me on the floor crying of laughter.
Personally, I’m a little too excited for the premieres of…

Homeland Sun 9/29
Ahh! Homeland Season 3 is what we’ve all been waiting for! If you’re in the mood to sit on the edge of your seat in fear, suspense, and laughter—Carrie’s crying face gets me every time—then you should watch the premiere of Homeland. Season 2 left us with an ambiguous ending…where is Brody? What is going to happen to Carrie? what other brilliant twists and turns will we encounter? I can’t wait to find out!
Scandal Thurs10/3
Who doesn’t love a Scandal? At the end of Season 2, Olivia Pope, the main character of Scandal, had been revealed to the public as the President’s mistress. Will her career be ruined? Will her employees still have her back? I can only predict that this season will not only be more scandalous than the past two, but “dirty little secrets always come out” and Season 3 will be filled with them!
