Whether you are an office assistant, a tutor, or work in another department on campus, many Bentley students have jobs during their four years at school. These jobs are often students’ first foray into the professional world, and require students to dress up in order to represent Bentley in a professional way. Dressing professionally is almost always a challenge for students, but this week’s Campus Style choice has tips for how to make the best of looking your best.

HC: Where do you work on campus and what do you do there?
KH: I am the Research Assistant to the Vice President of Enrollment Management. I work closely with the VP on projects related to enrollment at Bentley. I work on the administrative floor where the president and all of the VPs work.
HC: What’s the dress code for your office?
KH: Because I pass the president’s office every time I go to work, I make sure I am always in business attire.
HC: How do you add your own style to the dress code?
KH: I like to wear dresses, but once it starts getting cold, I’ll make the switch to dress pants and a blazer or sweater. I keep a pair of black heels under my desk and change into them when I arrive at work. I add my own style with color. I usually wear my hair up in a messy bun and wear dangly earrings.
HC: Anything else you want to add about your style?
KH: I really enjoy getting dressed up. It definitely adds that extra sense of professionalism to my job!
