Throwback Thursday: 4 bands that desperately need to reunite.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

After N’ SYNC graced us with its presence at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, I think it’s important to recognize the other bands that need to join the party and schedule a reunion as soon as possible. Even though some of these talented folks have attempted to reunite, not one of them has thrilled our ears with a new single as of yet. So we have to ask, what’s the hold up already?

1) O-Town
These five cuties were actually part of the first season of MTV’s “Making the Band.” The band was made up of Jacob Underwood, Ashley Parker Angel, Erik-Michael Estrada, Trevor Penick, and Dan Miller who replaced Ikaika Kahoano after Kahoano chose to leave the band for personal reasons. Smooth moves and gel-slicked hair helped these hotties make it through to the final round where they were officially crowned the members of O-Town. The guys’ hit songs included “Liquid Dreams” and “All Or Nothing.” O-Town almost turned our fan-girl dreams into a reality in 2011 when they tried to put the boy band pieces back together; however, reports say Ashley Parker Angel may not have been too keen on the idea.

2) S Club 7
“Reach for the stars, climb every mountain higher!” Thanks to S Club 7, we learned how to stick together because: “I’ve got you and you’ve got me.” No, but really, these seven bandmates may have started the British craze in America due to their adorable and innocent personas; who could really hate their music? The band even had its own T.V. show based in Miami, which featured plenty of breakout musical numbers to entertain any music junkie. Formerly known as S Club, the group consisted of Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Rachel Stevens, Jo O’Meara, Hannah Spearritt, Bradley McIntosh, and Jon Lee. After several members of S Club began performing without the group, reports speculate all seven members will join forces again this year.

3) Dream
You may remember this group from when Diddy was known as Sean Combs. The band was signed to Bad Boy Records in 2001 and then released their album “It Was All a Dream,” in late January. The girls included Holly Blake-Arnstein, Melissa Schuman, Ashley Poole, and Alex Chester. The group’s first hit single “He Loves U Not,” went gold and was the anthem for tweens everywhere. Dream tried reuniting in 2012, but the timing just wasn’t right for four girls. *Tear*

4) Cheetah Girls
These girls really showed us what being cheetah-licious is all about. Dressed in their cheetah-best, Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, and Sabrina Bryan were as fierce as girl groups come. These girls were unstoppable, starring in their own movies and launching a clothing line, book series, and more. Raven-Symoné from “That’s So Raven” even made appearances in the movies lending her voice to unite Cheetah sisters everywhere.

If our prayers can be answered to reunite one band, why not just unite them all?
