Rosemary Imagined will hold an interactive information session on Tuesday, September 10, where all are invited to join members and leaders of the Chapel Hill community, University officials and downtown business owners in discussing ideas for the future development of Rosemary Street.
Last summer the Town Council adopted Chapel Hill 2020, a plan that identifies a set of aspirations for the town’s future.  In it, Rosemary Street is pinpointed as “a Future Focus area with an interest in innovation and entrepreneurship.”
According to a news release posted earlier this week, the event is one part of a 10-month “process of engagement” between Rosemary Imagined and the Chapel Hill community. The event is structured to facilitate attendees’ involvement and input, which will later be used to frame a plan for the development of what is being called the Rosemary Street corridor.
“Rosemary Imagined Social Event” is being held from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at TRU Deli + Wine, located at the corner of Rosemary and Henderson streets. Light refreshments will be provided.
Madeleine Kainz, an employee at TRU, said the venue will be great for facilitating both small and large group discussions.
“The atmosphere is very aesthetically pleasing. It’s also a great place because it’s a perfect example of what Rosemary Street has to offer,” Kainz said.
