Get ready Arrested Development loving collegiettes, our favorite dysfunctional family may be back for a fifth season! Multiple sources report that the show’s producers are in talks with Netflix about doing another season. Brian Grazer, co-chairman of Imagine Entertainment, tells Bloomberg TV, “We are in conversations with them to do another. They are interested in doing that.” Netflix CEO, Reed Hastings, confirms Grazer’s positive remarks, stating: “If the talent were willing to do more and interested in that, I’m sure we would be willing.”

The show’s creator, Mitch Hurwitz, however, isn’t spilling any secrets about the show’s future. He doesn’t want to get anyone’s hopes up, only admitting, “I don’t have a timeline yet. If there’s more, I promise you we will put a date out there.”

Even more controversial than the possibility of a new season were fans’ reaction to the fourth season. After waiting seven years, some diehard fans weren’t thrilled when the episodes’ format differed from the originals. Others liked the single character focus format, realizing that the show had evolved during its hiatus. Hurwitz takes the mixed reviews about the fourth season well, responding: “”I try to have a pretty open attitude about it. Everybody wants to be loved all the time; it’s not realistic. It’s certainly not realistic if you’re going to be ambitious in terms of changing the form. There are risks either way. Had I done the exact same show I did last time, there’d be blowback to that.”

Some fans are still unsure what to make of the new Arrested Development, but, if the rumors are true, at least we’ll have another season to figure out how we feel about it.Â
