If you claim that you’ve never had a bad roommate, you’re either incredibly lucky or lying. Nowadays, it seems as if this unfortunate situation is a rite of passage in college. Check out our list of TV characters we wouldn’t want to live with. Though everyone is bound to think their roommate experience was (or is) the worst, you may appreciate your less-than-perfect living situation after reading about potential alternatives!
1. Samantha Jones from Sex and the City
Though Samantha would be fun to paint the town red with, she’d bring tons of guys home. Translation? You’d be sexiled…a lot. Let’s face it: that would get very old.
2. Jenna Maroney from 30 Rock
Honestly, we can barely tolerate Jenna’s selfishness onscreen. Sharing space with someone else is all about compromise, but we have a feeling that living with Jenna would feel more like an episode of TGS.
3. Shoshanna Shapiro from Girls
Her hyper persona makes for great television; however, living with Shoshanna in real life would be less-than-fabulous. Though having someone to hang out with all the time sounds great in theory, we don’t think that Shoshanna would understand the value of quiet time. And after a full day of classes and extracurriculars, some “me time” is a must!
4. Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl
We have no doubt that her room décor would be nothing short of amazing, yet Blair’s conniving attitude is a major red flag. We’ve seen how the drama queen handles her enemies, so what would happen to us if we accidentally turned on the lights when she was sleeping?
5. “A” from Pretty Little Liars
We don’t need to be best friends with our roommate; however, we don’t like how A is a complete mystery. How are we supposed to enjoy living with someone if she hold grudges and doesn’t let her guard down? And would she borrow our clothes without asking? Since her closet consists of several black hoodies, where else would she find a frat party-approved ensemble?
6. Monica Geller from Friends
There’s clean, and then there’s “you essentially live in an museum and cannot touch anything” clean. It’s no surprise that living with Monica would bring the latter to life. We would have clean dishes, but we would definitely feel like a guest in our own living quarters!
7. Chloe from Don’t Trust the B**** in Apartment 23
Yes collegiettes, this is as bad as it gets. From setting her roommate up with her dad to making out with her roommate’s (yes, the same one as before) fiancé, this pick is bad news. With Chloe as your roommate, your time in that apartment may be a living nightmare.
