Her Campus (HC): Congratulations on finishing up your senior year at Wake! How have you spent your last four years getting involved on campus?
Holden Brayboy (HB): I’m a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity, a Magnolia Scholar, participated in Rush for the Cure, and have been an International Abroad Office Student Adviser.
HC:Â So what has been the best thing about Wake for you?
HB: It’s all about the people and the friendships you make. If it were not for the people I met on my freshman year hall, Sigma Nu, and through random encounters, then I do not know where I would be today.
HC:Â I know this is a dreaded question, but what are you doing next year?
HB:Â It is still up in the air, but I am potentially taking a year off then going to law school.
HC: That would be a well-deserved break. Where all are you looking for law school?
HB:Â I would hope to get into UNC Chapel Hill for law school, but Richmond and George Washington are possibilities as well.
HC: With all your free time next year where would you travel?
HB: Well, it’s a possibility. But if I do travel I think I would go around the United States. There are a lot of places out West like Denver, San Francisco, and Seattle that I would love to see, so it could be an awesome experience.
HC: All awesome choices. So during your year off you see the most beautiful girl, what is the first thing that stands out to you?
HB: Eyes and personality are the two things I look for in a girl. You can tell a lot about a girl from her personality.

HC:Â Who would your celebrity girlfriend be?
HB:Â Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones or Minka Kelly.
HC:Â What is your ideal first date?
HB: I think a hot air balloon ride would be an awesome date. Yeah, everyone thinks a simple dinner or ice cream is the way to go, but going outside the box is always an interesting route to take.
HC: That’s the way to a girl’s heart! How would you grab her attention when you first saw her?
HB: There is honestly not a good way to get a girl’s attention, you just have to try and get her to recognize you if the situation presents itself.
HC:Â After four years here what has grown to be your biggest pet peeve?
HB: I have a decent amount of pet peeves, but the one for Wake is lazy service at Shorty’s. It is by far the best place to eat on campus, but has the worst service.Â
HC:Â Would you change anything over the last four years?
HB:Â Besides changing the amount of food ordered at Cookout after a party or not going on special trips with the pledge class, I would not change a single thing.Â
HC:Â What advice do you have for the incoming freshmen?
HB: Do not be scared to try anything and go outside the box. Freshman year determines the person you will be because of the friends you make and decisions you make. Do not be scared to take a risk or go outside your comfort zone because it will more than likely be worth it.Â
