Peekaboo Pieces

According to Glamour magazine, one of the hot fashion trends for Spring 2013 are “peekaboo pieces”—which are articles of clothing that show a little bit of skin in a modest way.  With the upcoming spring weather, here are some great items that feature this new style:

1. Free People Fitted with Daisies Dress ($128)

The fit-n-flare style of this dress can flatter almost any body type.  Coming in four beautiful colors, the ivory and seafoam are great options for spring.  Due to its detailed material and perfect length, this dress is a very versatile piece that can be dressed up or down.

2.  Free People Pieced Mesh Dress ($98)

The mesh cutouts add some flair to this otherwise simple little black dress.  Complete the outfit with a necklace or other piece of jewelry, and you’ll be ready to go out for the night!

3. Urban Outfitters Pins and Needles Laser-Cut Cropped Top ($38)

This shirt’s floral and scalloped design along the hem makes it a great seasonal top.  The shorter length creates a relaxed and laid-back look on a warm Spring day.  Pair with high-waisted jean shorts to finish off this casual outfit.

4. Nordstrom’s Lush Illusion Fit & Flare Dress ($52)

The sheer mesh fabric that makes up the yoke on this high neckline skater dress gives this dress some youthfulness without losing sophistication.  The opening in the back lets you show some skin in a more subtle way.  With some heels, this dress is perfect for a semi-formal occasion.
