Many of us at HCBU love to read a good blog. Whether it’s about fashion, fitness, or food, these blogs allow us to get inspired. Although reading blogs can be somewhat of a time commitment, sorry homework, reading blogs is time well spent. Not only do the blogs I read teach me something new, but also my fashion wish list is constantly being expanded! Some of my favorite blogs come from students here at BU; a few are even HC writers too! All Dressed Up, Everywhere To Go
One of my favorite blogs comes from one member of HCBU’s PR Team, Allie. As an undergraduate studying PR at BU Allie’s dream is to work in the fashion and retail industry, and her blog, All Dressed Up, Everywhere To Go certainly shows it! From fashion outfit guides to music and DIYs, Allie’s blog is a great resource to find inspiration for a perfectly Spring-appropriate outfit!
This blog is written by HCBU writer Jomarie and it is a fantastic source for fitness tips. I can always count on Jomarie’s blog for encouragement to keep up my workout routine and even find some new exercise regimens to try out. My favorite posts include challenges from food challenges to eat more greens, to fitness challenges to run more or stretch more. She even includes fun hashtags in her posts for her followers to use on Twitter and Instagram.
As per the title, this next blog is written by Melanie, a BU student who is passionate about changing the way women are perceived. Some of her recent posts include topics of sex, college hookup culture, rape and sexual violence. Her posts really get you thinking about current issues surrounding women; I suggest you take a read and maybe you’ll even spark a debate surrounding some of the issues with your friends.
As an aspiring magazine editor and stylist, Kelsey Mulvey, a junior at BU writes mostly about fashion and style on her blog, The Trendologist. Kelsey is actively involved on BU’s campus and is currently studying abroad in London, so be sure to check out some of her latest posts about her adventures and fashion finds in London! Some of her latest posts highlight spring fashion trends with advice on how to make the trends more wearable. The Trendologist is the perfect place to stay up-to-date on all things fashion and will become your go-to source before you know it!
Finally, to round up my list of favorite BU bloggers, I will include a shameless plug for my own blog, Bay State and Beyond. I started blogging almost a year and a half ago as freshman Journalism student at BU. I love to blog about what interests me most, from food to music, to cool apps I’ve tried or books I’ve read, I like to blog about it all.
