These past two weeks of Girls’ were filled with cringe worthy scenes and twisted, unexpected love stories. The craziness that ensued in the past two episodes definitely wrapped up the season in a way that satisfied Girls fans everywhere.
Hannah’s OCD continues to haunt her as she pushes herself do to everything eight times. Hannah’s mental instability and OCD tendencies cause her to jam a Q-tip too far into her ear, creating a scene that is almost physically painful to watch. Hannah recognizes her mental instability and decides to cut her hair much shorter. Hannah’s aggressive publisher pushes her to the brink when he insists that she write a book during a very short period of time.
Adam is still dating Natalia, the woman who he was set up. Natalia and Adam partake in some raunchy actions during a crazy sex scene in which Adam appears to totally disregard Natalia’s wants and needs.
Charlie reaches a milestone at work and is distracted from his plans to have lunch with Marni. She seeks revenge by showing up at his celebration party and singing a song to the partygoers. The revenge ironically turns into Marni and Charlie rekindling their flame and hooking up in his office.
Hannah shoves a Q-tip in her other ear, giving in to her OCD. Adam comes to her rescue when she accidently calls him on FaceTime and he sees how much of a mess she is. Marni tells Charlie how badly she wants him and he confesses that he never stopped loving her.
Shoshanna and Ray break up after a screaming match and the mutual realization that anger things weren’t right anymore. The season ends with Hannah cradled in Adam’s arms. Between the break ups, new beginnings, and physically painful scenes, the Girls season two finale didn’t disappoint.
