Perfect Movies for a Romantic Night In

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at VCU chapter.

Instead of going out in the cold with your man tonight, how about you try to have a romantic night in. Cuddle up on the couch with some hot chocolate or some wine and pop in a movie. Not in the mood for a horror movie or an action flick? Then watch a movie that you and your man are sure to be interested in. Here are some favorite romantic cinemas that will captivate you, of course, and your man as well! These movies are the perfect start to a romantic night in.

  1. Ghost (1990): A romance between a ghost and his alive and well lover has never been more hot & exciting.
  2. Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011): A dull marriage is just about to be broken into pieces until the husband befriends a “player”. Little did they know that love really does conquer all. This flick will keep you laughing, not to mention you get to see Ryan Gosling half naked!
  3. Romeo + Juliet (1996): A classic love story with a modern twist that makes it appealing to our generation.
  4. 50 First Dates (2004): You can’t go wrong with a romantic comedy by Adam Sandler! This flick is about a man that will do anything to make his lady remember him, literally remember him!
  5. Water for Elephants (2011): A wild story of forbidden love in a circus. Oh, and Robert Pattinson is the male lead.
