Iowa City Tree Sweater

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Iowa chapter.

Her Campus loves the “sweaters” that have been adorning the trees all around downtown this winter. With a fun color palette and unique designs, the trees are dressed even more stylishly than I am most of the time. While some have criticized the public-art project for being a waste of money that could have been better spent knitting sweaters for the homeless and need, it is hard to deny the cuteness of the decorations. The colorful tree-huggers are a bright spot in otherwise dreary walks to class, and much better scenery than the depressing mounds of gray snow and ice.
