MUD Mania is a rather messy event happening at Auburn this semester! Chelsea Bohannon, senior public relations major and director of public relations for Her Campus, talked with HC about her involvement with all of this muddy excitement and gave us details about what we can look forward to with this event.
Â
HC Auburn: Where are you from?
Chelsea: Newnan, Ga.
HC Auburn: What other groups or organizations are you involved with on campus?
Chelsea: Besides HER Campus, I’m also involved in Rho Lambda, PRSSA and Alpha Xi Delta. This past year, I was my sorority’s president. It was a great year of learning, growing and serving some of the best people I’ll ever get the chance to meet.
Â
HC Auburn: What is MUD Mania and how can students become a part of it?
Chelsea: MUD Mania is a 5K, 20+ obstacles run through the thick and slimy mud happening in Auburn on March 23. After the event, there’ll be live music, food and drinks. Students can be involved in several ways. For starters, they can register for the event at www.mud-mania.com. Registration is $45/person and includes a t-shirt. Secondly, they can get a team together through their organization. For every member to register with the code provided by MUD Mania, they’ll receive $5. Once they have 10 people on their team, they can compete for $500 in the Collegiate Crawl. The team with the overall fastest time gets the cash. Lastly, they can volunteer to work the event day of. For inquiries about this, email info@mud-mania.com.
Â
HC Auburn: What is your involvement with MUD Mania at Auburn University?
Chelsea: My involvement at MUD Mania is to manage the social media outlets, as well as help organize the Collegiate Crawl: send out organization letters, arrange meeting visits and help spread the word about the event.
