Homemade candies. Make a personalized box of chocolates. You can also do this with cupcakes filled with classic chocolate candy flavors. I made these last year and we could not stop eating them!
Also my mother’s crock pot candy is easy to make and super addicting. You can experiment with this recipe to make a variety of chocolates. For example, adding dried cranberries or trading German chocolate for dark chocolate. Also fill red or pink mini liners instead of just pouring it on wax paper.Â
IngredientsÂ
1 16 oz jar roasted unsalted peanutsÂ
1 16 oz jar roasted salted peanuts
1 12 oz package semi sweet chocolate chips
1 bar 4 oz German chocolate, broken into piecesÂ
3 lbs (or 2 24 oz packages) white almond bark, broken into pieces
Directions
Put ingredients into a 4 to 5 quart crock pot in the order listed. Cover and cook on low 3 hours. Do not remove lid. Turn off and allow to cool slightly. Mixture will not be melted but will be soft. Mix thoroughly and drop a teaspoon onto wax paper. Let cool thoroughly. Makes about 150 pieces. Â
Add chocolate bark to the box.
