Alex Phillips
Running For: VP Academic Affairs
Why should you vote for her? She wants to make academic affairs “more engaging and interactive for all students”.
Key Manifesto Points:
- MACE Feedback in Week 6 so that the feedback affects YOUR course – not the year after you
- An online system to see when rooms in academic buildings are free for private or group work A
- All lectures to be recorded and text messages when lectures are cancelled or rescheduled.
This all seems pretty good to us… Now who’s next? Guild President!

Running For: Guild President
Why should you vote for her? She wants you to “get the most for your £9,000” fees.
Key Manifesto Points:
- Making sure the Guild is “engaging and accessible” so students can get what they want from their student experience
- Maintaining the rent freeze and making sure landlords provide safe and affordable housing
- Keeping prices in Guild outlets low to make sure living costs are kept low.
Kathryn Jarvis
Running For: Guild President
Why should you vote for her? “‘Every student should vote as it allows us to make a difference ‘Right Here. Right Now.’”
Key Manifesto Points:
- Continue fighting the council against the proposed streetlight switch off
- Low accommodation costs
- Minimum standard for the amount of contact hours across all subjects;
- Shuttle bus between St Lukes and Streatham.
So you want to know who’s running for AU President…
Alex Powell
Running For: AU President
Why should you vote for her? She’s been on AU Exec committee and Windsurf committee the last 2 years, and has absolutely loved it. She’s worked closely with this year’s AU President.
Key Manifesto Points:
- Keeping the new sports park affordable
- Developing the smaller AU clubs
- Push BUCS rankings to 6th.vote

Running For: PAC – Participation and Campuses
Why should you vote for her? She has spent 2 years on the Welcome Team and has already had 2 jobs within the Guild so she feels she “has the relevant experience for the role”
Key Manifesto Points:
- Bringing cash in hand back for societies at the Activities Fair: students turn up and join up!

Work alongside NUS and Vinspired to boost a national volunteering scheme for students to be commended for the hours that they put in.

A weekly updated timeline of all activities and opportunities available for all students, a place to market events, a discussion board for all societies to improve communication and which has out of hours help!
