Ladies, I know I’m not the only one who wastes hours on Pinterest. But when I see the bizarre manicures and the crazy do-it-yourself tutorials, only one thing comes to mind: who actually has time for that?
Take a look at your “Need-to-Try” board or your “DIY” board on Pinterest… How many of them have you actually attempted? None? I thought so. So, let me try them for you.
This weeks pin is a Gator-themed manicure. It could be great for gamedays in the fall, parties over the weekend, or even your UF graduation in May.
Cute, right? But difficulty level… I’m not so sure.
I started with all orange. Easy enough.
Make sure your nails are completely dry before moving on to add the blue. Don’t get too anxious, or you will end up with a swirly brown mess instead of two distinct colors. You can dip your nails in ice-cold water to speed up the drying process.
Surprisingly, adding the touches of blue wasn’t as tough as I thought. Sure; it’s on the sloppy side, and the paints globbed on there, but it could still be fun for a night out.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have any tape lying around my apartment, so the blue lines aren’t as straight as they could be.
Rating: 4 out of 5.
This gator manicure is cute for certain occasions, but who has the time? It’s hard enough for me to wait for one paint color to dry, let alone two. Layering the colors was a little on the difficult side, but with tape and nail polish at the ready, this pin is worth trying.
What do you think? Would you pin it or pass it?
