Your holiday gift guide is here. It’s not really a gift guide as much as me advertising the random crap I want. Also, I’m basing this entirely on Urban Outfitters. Let’s get started.
1. I’m going to begin on the cheaper side. Nothing says ‘I value your friendship’ like glitter nail polish. Nothing. Urban Outfitters has a lovely selection and each bottle is only $5.00… this is a really cute gift if you are one of those ‘I must give a gift to all my girls because I love them all so much’ kind of people. It will not completely drain your wallet. Unless you have a lot of friends, in which case I can’t help you.
2. Books! I always find myself perusing the book table at Urban. They are hilarious. Also, there is such a wide variety of topics and kinds of books that you can always find one to fit your friend’s personality. My personal favorites are Feminist Ryan Gosling, Hot Guys with Baby Animals (duhhhh), 1,000 Stickers (definitely just ordered this for myself) and Finish This Book.
4. The classic iTunes gift card is a great way to say “I love you and have no grasp on your personality.” And you can prevent your friend from being caught illegally downloading music. (We all know that we all do it.)
5. Make a mixtape! I am currently in the middle of making about 15 CDs. (If you want one, feel free to ask J)
6. Filling one of these with photos of you and your friend is a super fab gift. It might seem silly, but tangible Facebook albums are a really good ‘friend’ gift. You get to show how much you care. Or just fill it with photos of yourself.
7. These are cute and personal. And cute. Also you get points for knowing your friend’s name. Kudos!
8. Matching iPhone cases! And they’re cheaper than the Rebecca Minkoff pair. Adorbs.
9. Don’t know why, but I think cute socks are a fun gift. My roommate got me a pair of Hanukkah socks and they make me so incredibly happy. Kind of like saying “I appreciate your quirky style, but I don’t know how to contribute, so here are ironic socks.”
10. HUGS. Or chocolate.
