This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bryant chapter.

Wondering where to go this winter break? Need a place to get away? Well here are a few ideas for anyone looking to explore! Whether it be a family road trip or just a personal getaway, here are a few places all over the country.

Boston, Massachusetts– Boston is filled with lights and beautiful snow covering historic buildings. You may find the Nutcracker at the Opera House to be very interesting. It is always a good time and appropriate for all ages. If the Nutcracker is too boring for you, try the “Slutcracker” which is a more mature audience based parody! It runs from December 2nd to December 24th. If that isn’t enough, there is “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” performed by the Boston Pop’s at Symphony Hall.
New York City-Stay in New York, New York…the city that never sleeps! Enjoy the nightlife and the beauty by day. There you can visit the Radio City Music Hall to see the Rockettes, a famous dance group, perform. It is definitely an experience you will never forget!

Bethlehem, Pennsylvania-Bethlehem was supposedly founded on Christmas Eve in 1741, and has great festivals celebrated here like “Christkindlmarkt,” which is filled with food and fun. This is a great tourist destination during the holidays.

Park City, Utah– Park City is the ideal winter wonderland! It gets about 40 inches of snow every Christmas season. If you want a White Christmas, here is the place to go. There are many resorts that can be visited like the Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley and the Cayons. They also have the Stein Eriksen Lodge. Your room will be decorated, and you may also buy a Christmas tree for the room, which will be decorated for you as well.
Levenworth, Washington– This town is heard of resembling Bavaria. They have many German and Bavarian inspired homes, shops, restaurants and hotels. They are known for their great festivals, one of which being the Christmas Lighting Festival where the town lights up Christmas lights and residents dress up as holiday characters. You could also visit the Gingerbread Factory, or visit Gustav’s, a beer garden and German burger spot.
