As the semester comes to an end and it starts to get chilly, we trade in our tanks for long sleeved tees, we add scarves and hats to our wardrobes, and our nail colors seem to change too. Here are some winter nail colors and tips any HC girl would approve of!
1. Red
There’s something about red that reminds us of the holidays. This winter, mix up the classic red look with cute details like Maddy Barrett (CAS, 2015) did. If you’re maybe not as gifted as her- I mean look at her nails, they’re beautiful- try any nail appliqués. Another option is to look for a dark red or add some sparkle for a twist on this very wintery color.

2. Go Neutral
This winter think neutrals. Not only will neutral nails never go out of style, but they’re an easy way to get simple, pretty nails that don’t show as much when they start to chip.

3. Another bonus to winter is that you can try the black nail trend without seeming too harsh. If you’re still cautious about this shade, go for a deep purple or a matte black for an edgy look.

4. For any occasion from winter finals to a New Years party, add some sparkle to your look with metallic nail polish. For an even more festive look, look for a glitter polish.

5. Rather than pastels, this winter try deep blues and greens. Spice things up with a “statement nail” or add glitter tips.
