All about the dancing: Well I first wanted to break dance after watching the music video for Party Rock Anthem, I saw a dancer doing a move called a coin drop at the end of the video and I thought it was super interesting. I had heard that Mercer had a breakdance club and I decided to join, now dancing is my life. I go to the gym 2 or more hours to practice about 5-6 times a week, and also attend club meetings Wednesday and Friday nights, along with going to yoga on Tuesday. I do not want to go pro or anything, but I would like to be as good as one.
The Homecoming Skit: Well we originally came up with the skit knowing that we wanted it to be about video games to fit the theme, let the games begin. Slowly we came up with different parts of the choreography and put it together at the end. I came up with the mario part of the skit and the other members came up with tetris, mortal kombat, and the finale. We practiced every day the week before Homecoming to make sure that our routine was clean. The day of the skit I was nervous but my fellow dancer, Sarraj, gave me some good advice “Just imagine yourself doing it correctly.”
