Grand Opening of lululemon athletica: A Can’t-Miss Event!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tulane chapter.

Hey all you workout fanatics, Audubon runners, and yoga lovers, it is finally here! The grand opening of lululemon athletica at Canal Place is less than a week away! For those of you who may not be on the lulu train yet, let me fill you in with some background info about the company and why you should love it too.

After Chip Wilson took his first yoga class, he was hooked on the idea of making apparel that was specifically designed for yoga practice. In his eyes, cotton work out clothes weren’t ideal for this kind of exercise, so he set out to create a line that was flexible, durable, and “hip.” His first store opened in Vancouver in 1998 and lululemon athletica exploded from there. Now there are stores across the United States and there is finally one opening close to us!

Lululemon is focused not only creating high quality workout apparel that will last for years, but providing a warm and welcoming environment for its customers. Each sales associate is well educated in the company’s philosophy and they each take on their own healthy lifestyle practices. The environment is infectious and you find yourself being motivated to set new goals and try new things, clothes included! Lululemon is always coming out with top of the line apparel in fun patterns and designs that are irresistible. Watch out, after your first purchase, you’ll keep coming back for more!
