Prom king, winning goal-scorer for a championship hockey game, and still as humble as can be…that’s Brad Merritt for you. In fact, he probably won’t be too happy that I just included those things. Whoops! I didn’t know Brad going into this interview, but that didn’t stop him from being himself. Keep reading to find out more about this genuine, easy-going guy!
HC: What do you like to do in your free time?
Brad: I like to exercise, play sports, and…I take naps a lot. *laughs*
Â
HC: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go…and why?
Brad: I’d probably go to Sweden, mainly to play hockey.
Â
HC: What’s your worst fear?
Brad: Dying in a car accident.
Â
HC: Describe your dream girl, or what you look for in a girl.
Brad: I’d say for me, a Christian [I grew up in the Church, so that’s pretty important], pretty, I guess, nice personality, easy-going, funny, and just someone who’s easy to be yourself around.
Â
HC: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Brad: Hopefully having a career that I enjoy and coaching a sport, probably hockey.
Â
HC: If you could change something about yourself, would you? And what would it be?
Brad: I wish I could grow a beard, not gonna lie.
Â
HC: Any pet peeves?
Brad: Fake people.
Â
HC: Did you do anything exciting for Halloween this year?
Brad: Nahh. Well, I guess I went to a church party.
Â
HC: And of course I have to ask, what’s your favorite part of being a Husker?
Brad: Definitely game day; I grew up on it all my life. Â I was that kid last year that camped out every game to get front row.
