We told you yesterday how some celebrities were reacting to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, and we’re back again to update you on how even more famous voices are offering support for victims of the superstorm. NBCUniversal has just announced that they will be airing a special benefit concert on Friday night, according to E! Online.
The one-hour live telethon, dubbed “Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together,” will air at 8 p.m. EST on Friday, November 2, 2012, and be broadcast on NBC, Bravo, CNBC, E!, G4, MSNC, Style, Syfy and USA. The Huffington Post reports that, as of now, only NBCUniversal-owned platforms will be broadcasting the performance, though the company will allow other networks to participate if they join prior to airtime.
Bruce Springsteen, Christina Aguilera, Bon Jovi, Sting and Billy Joel are all slated to perform, and Matt Lauer will host the event. Jimmy Fallon and anchor Brian Williams will also make appearance. All proceed raised during the concert will go to American Red Cross hurricane relief efforts, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Tune in on Friday to see celebs support a great cause!
