Halloween Dorm Décor!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SMCVT chapter.

Halloween is almost here, collegiettes™! ! Now that you have some costumes ideas, DIY ideas, and events to check out, it’s time to bring the festivities to your own dorm! Here are a few decorations that we love for the Halloween season.

There’s nothing better than adding a little flair (or in this case, scare) to your bare dorm walls! Cut out some bat decals, hang a few festive banners, or cover the room from top to bottom in “danger” tape…the possibilities are endless! Here are a few pictures of wall décor ideas that can be easily made or purchased:

Decorations aren’t just for the inside of your dorm room! Make sure to add some fun to the outside of your door as well, and let everyone passing by see your creative side! Make a candy wreath, a Happy Halloween banner, or some glow in the dark balloons (just put a glow stick inside each balloon)!

Still not enough? Make a few glittery pumpkins (because honestly, who doesn’t love glittery pumpkins) and cover your ceilings and walls with some creepy fake cobwebs.

So there you have it, ladies! Halloween is coming quickly, so tap into that inner creativity (or your inner super-savvy shopper) and add some festive flair to your dorm rooms. Don’t forget to dress to impress & make some deliciously creepy treats while you’re at it!
