As September is quickly slipping away and October is coming upon us, I find
myself crossing my fingers that this dreadful heat will soon cool to a nice fall breeze.
However, I have to remind myself that my wishes are not so lucky and that the heatĀ
continues to remain 365 days in Tucson, unless of course there is a casual monsoon.
There are so many exciting things to come during the fall season. Pumpkin
everything for one, along with the anticipation of Halloween and my favorite part,
trading in my shorts and tank tops for boots and scarves. Even though there is no
real fall season here in Tucson, a girl can pretend right? But who am I really
kidding, I am a Southern California girl and donāt know the actual meaning of the
changing of seasons.
Last year, I went on what seemed like a life long journey of finding my
perfect āfallā boots. I finally reached my destination at the Tory Burch store shortly
after Christmas. Of course, only I would find my dream winter boots when the
season is pushing into springtime. Due to this unfortunate timing, I have still yet to
wear my boots, my fabulous Tory Burch boots. Maybe I will be able to incorporate
them into a possible Halloween costumeā¦any ideas?
I have a new beat to my step that fall is within reach. The other day, I was
leaving class and instead of residing back comfortably at my house on Mountain, I
made an extra drive, totally out of the way, to go through the Starbucks drive
through on Broadway and get my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season! It was a
fall feeling at its best. Sipping on my latte as I ventured back home. I thought to
myself about the upcoming Kardashian finale, which reminded me that fall also
brings back my favorite scripted dramas. Gossip girl anyone? I am definitely guilty
as charged. Donāt get me wrong; I love a good reality TV meltdown as much as the
next girl but I canāt wait for a little sanity on television.
Tailgates are back in full swing and I love that my Saturdays are consistently
filled with the dominance of red, white and blue. Although sports arenāt a favorite
past time of mine, I can pretend for the tailgates right? There is really no spirit like
the Wildcat one.
I will continue to cross my fingers that this weather will soon take a turn for
the better. Weather where I can actually look decent after walking from my house
to my classes and not look as if I have just finished a marathon. Heat where I want
to do activities outside as opposed to drowning myself in my BTO, the coolest thing I
can get my hands on. Until the sun subsides, I will stare at my beautiful boots in my
closet for another year!
