WVAU’s Capital Punishment Free Concert Series

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at American chapter.

If you’re looking for local talent, Kay Spiritual Center was the place to be last Friday.

On October 5, WVAU hosted the first lineup in the free concert series, Capital Punishment. Students rocked out to the beats of Teen Lit, a rock group featuring all AU musicians. Next on stage, and with a sound as interesting as their name, was Teen Suicide. Recently praised as up and coming, they pounded out loud and riotous chords paired with purposefully distorted vocals. Lastly, and definitely the crowd favorite, was Shark Week. With bluesy, surfer-esque melodies and a variety of slow and upbeat songs, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Be sure to watch the WVAU website, @WVAU on Twitter, and WVAU’s Facebook page for the announcement of the next concert in the Capital Punishment series.
