College. Coined by many as the best time of our lives.. a time when we develop a set of skills that will help us go on to change the world we live in. But, also a time when we develop a separate set of âskillsâ that most likely wonât benefit us once weâre forced out of this college bubble and into the real world. Sure, weâd all love to stay here forever, but the reality is, we canât.
I have put together this list of just 25 of the many things that us college kids do best (besides being absolutely frigginâ awesome, of course). If you find yourselves becoming completely absorbed in one or all of these habits, just know that youâre absolutely not doing college wrong, but you (unfortunately) canât do these things forever.
1. Procrastinating (obviously..)
2. Complaining about actually doing our work
3. Forgetting everything we studied 30 seconds after an exam
4. Finding ways to get cheap or free food
5. Always finding a way to get drunk no matter how much money we may or may not have
6. Pulling off yoga pants without actually doing yoga
7. Sleeping (through 8 a.mâs)
8. Not sleeping
9. Testing limits with caffeine (or Adderall)
10. Hooking up with a guy/girl whose name we may never know
11. Booting and/or Rallying
12. Using our phones & laptops while seeming completely captivated in a lecture
13. Writing a ten page paper the night before itâs due
14. Changing our majors at least three times
15. Pretending we know how to dance (when we really just look likes assholes)
16. Wearing completely weather-inappropriate clothes on the weekends
17. Going to the library to make attempts at making out peers think weâre studious
18. Bullshitting (everything)
19. Cheating (in more than one aspect..)
20. Always finding ways to turn anything into some kind of drinking game
21. Losing our keys, phones, wallets, and purses
22. Telling ourselves that weâre ânever going to drink againâ after a night out
23. Gaining the freshman fifteen.. and then the sophomore sixteen..
24. Fitting an abnormal amount of people into very small spaces
25. Celebrating the most memorable (or not-so-memorable) 21st birthdays
