Favorite part about your summer: I lived and worked in Brooklyn this summer, so I’d have to say getting to know the borough with the most swag. I’ll be making frequent trips back to BK, so please do tag along if you’d like the executive tour.
Celebrity crush?: Â CNN anchor Erin Burnett. I’m a bit of a news nerd. Yeah, she’s almost 40 and straight out of Goldman. So what?
Three things on your Columbia bucket list?:
a) Stacks…too typical?
b) Polish off a full Koronet’s pie
c) Visit every room in every academic building. I’m well on my way to that, and I’ve found some fantastic things.
If you could be any superhero, who would you be, and why?: I would be The Sleepless Man. I could accomplish so much with the extra three-or-so hours every night.
Favorite TV show: Top Gear (I’m a sucker for cars) and Criminal Minds (serial killers are cool too)
Top three qualities you look for in a girl:
a) Has her head square on her shoulders
b) Capable of witty retorts
c) A pretty smile never hurt
If you could have lunch with any person (dead or alive), who would you choose?: Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson. Or a young Francoise Hardy. Tres belle.
Place you most want to travel to: I worked in the Peruvian Andes the summer before last, and I desperately want to go back. My thesis idea is about off-grid wind power in Peru, though, so a return trip might not be out of the picture.
Favorite music artist?: An English band called Elbow. I’m planning to write a rock opera showcasing their music. Know any choreographers?
Anticipated highlight of this semester: Keeping overeager Carmanites out of serious trouble (somebody has to tend to Columbia’s finest residence hall), and, of course, joining the esteemed Brew Crew at Mel’s.
