This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tufts chapter.

Chutoro (medium fatty tuna belly) sushi at Sushidai in Tsukiji freshmarket; it was hands down the best sushi I’ve had in my life.

On a sunny day, my friends and I took a trip to Asakusa and went to see the newly built 2,080ft Tokyo Skytree, Though it is sad to see local traditional businesses in the area suffering, it is also a symbol of how Japan’s unyielding strength post 3/11.

This was a view from a bar located at the top of Shibuya Cerulean Tower where my ekaiwa (English conversation) bought me a glass of grasshopper.

My fellow interns and I took the trip to Studio Ghibli Museum. The robot from Castle in the Sky was one of the many awesome highlights.

This was a green tea parfait with azuki (red beans) from a Nana’s Green Tea branch in my neighborhood. The neighborhood I lived in, Jiyugaoka, was a paradise for people with sweet tooth.

Christie is a rising sophomore at Tufts. She absolutely adores coffee in any form,  believes that any dessert can be made better with nutella and any meal better with hot sauce.  In her spare time, she dabbles in graphic design, playing guitar, and photography. She also adores makeup and beauty and believes it's more of an art form than people give it credit for. Music is definitely a huge part of her life: she always has her iPod on and frequently goes to concerts.
