Playing on Pinterest: Baking Addiction

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Iowa chapter.

Ok so I don’t know about you guys, but when I get stressed, I bake. It might sound silly, but that’s just what I do. So I took to Pinterest to help combat my stress for finals, and my massive craving for chocolate chip cookies. I scoured for a while to find the one that sounded the best, and fit the best qualities of a chocolate chip cookie. It needs to be sweet, just the right amount of chocolate, and I want to be able to dunk them in a nice glass of milk, so it cant be too soft or crumbly. Let me tell you, I have discovered by far the best recipe known to man, and I won’t lie, this is also the one I have in my personal recipe book. My friends will tell you how good these cookies are, because I have made them for just about every occasion known to man. I have even had mothers ask for my recipe, and here it is:

Here is the link to the original “Pin”: Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Grab all your ingredients:

¾ cup of butter flavored Crisco
1 ¼ cup of brown sugar
1 ¾ cup of flour
1 tbl. Milk
2 tbl. Vanilla
1 egg
¾ tsp. baking soda
1 cup of chocolate chips (more if you desire)

Mix the egg, milk, vanilla, Crisco until smooth.
Add brown sugar and baking soda.
Lastly add the flour in increments, while using mixers at a medium speed.

Bake for 8-10 minutes

ENJOY!

These cookies are absolutely by far my favorite recipe to whip out and impress people with. Plus, it is such a good comfort food, not to mention a good study snack. While you are baking them, you can also study. Productivity at its finest, while satisfying your sweet tooth!
