What do you usually do over the weekend?
I mostly like to relax, since my weekdays can get really crazy with school. When I do get a chance, I go sailing on the San Francisco Bay. I also enjoy going hiking when the weather is nice.
How do you stay involved here at UC Davis?
I am currently with the Navy ROTC. I also have a job at the UC Davis Police Department.
How long have you been working with the UC Davis Campus Police Department and what do you like most about it?
I have been working with them for the past year. I mainly do security for events, you’ve probably seen me if you have ever been to a concert on campus.  It’s a really great job, since I am always doing something different. I enjoy helping people out too. Â
What are your plans after college?
I’m going into the Navy and I’m going to try to become a pilot. I am really looking forward to it and it’s going to be an adventure.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I really like Hayao Miyazaki movies, like Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro.
Who do you look up to and why?
Our men and women fighting for our country overseas. We ask them to do so much, like be away from their families for months, and they don’t ask much in return.
Most embarrassing moment?
I had a crush on this girl. One day, we were both filling out pieces of paper but there weren’t any tables around. This girl then offers her back so I could have something to write on. What I wanted to say was, “I would love to use your back,” but me being all nervous around my crush, I actually ended up saying, “I love your back.” Â
On a first date, where would you go and why?
I would take her out for a casual lunch and then afterwards go on a long walk and just talk.
