Oswego is a college town. This week, I want to educate all you students who don’t think the downtown of Oswego has anything to offer. Recently, I did an article on the restoration of Oswego and this is just one of the many places I was introduced to. The Canale Commons are located on West 1st Street. From the front, it may not look like much, but go inside. There is an art store, wine store, international goods store, and a barber shop that gives you a beer after every haircut (it you’re 21+). My favorite little shop would have to be Man in the Moon Candies. Talk about delicious chocolate! Try their peanut butter dreams and you’ll fall in love. Go check out downtown and see for yourself all the little shops and cafes there is to enjoy.
