HC: What organizations are you involved with on campus?
Gibbons: I am the president of the sorority Phi Sigma Sigma and I am involved with College Republicans. Also, I am on the Civic Engagement committee within Student Government Association and a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda.
HC: What made you want to become involved with so many organizations?
Gibbons: I like being extremely involved on campus because I had so much free time first semester my Freshman year, and I just really like being involved and informed.
HC: What qualities do you have to possess in order to hold the positions that you do?
Gibbons: To hold the positions I do, it is required to be a good communicator as well as having a backbone. Being a leader isn’t hard. It just takes dedication and passion for what you’re doing.
HC: What is the best and worst part of being so involved?
Gibbons: The best part is how many people you meet and make connections with. The worst part is being forced at a young age to take time management seriously.
HC: How do you think your involvement will help you in the future?
Gibbons: I think being involved will help me in the future with time management, communication, and networking.
HC: What advice would you give students who are unsure about joining a RSO?
Gibbons: I would say if you are curious, go for it! This is the time in your life to explore and expand your interests.
