Spring is finally here! Its time to get a tan, bust out your cutest sandals, and rock a new kind of mani-pedi. This is the season to wear light colors- think pastels and white with cute springtime designs. This time I tried something totally new and I’ve already gotten a bunch of compliments. So if you find yourself with a free hour or two try this out!
Â
You will need: 3 colors (white preferable for the base), tape, topcoat, and something to make dots with.
Â
1. Paint your nails with your base coat. White is a great option because it makes the other colors really stand out.
2. After your base coat has completely dried put tape on all your fingers about half way down, horizontally. You could also vertical if you want to try something extra new!
3. Paint the uncovered half of your nail with one of your other colors, I did a light blue by Essie.
* You can chose to stop at this point. Its really cute and simple design that’s easy to do**
4. Next get your last color and make a drop of nail polish on a piece of paper that you have laying around. Make 4-5 dots, depending on the size of the nail, where your second color and white meet.
5. Apply topcoat and enjoy the compliments!Â

I would say that this manicure was easy to do- it just takes a little bit of patience… which I don’t have… to make sure you wait until your nails are dry to do on to the next step. I am fairly new to playing with tape to make designs and so far so good. The best suggestion that I have for you at this point is to do one hand at a time. It can get difficult to juggle tape, nail polish, and tool without messing your new mani/pedi up. Enjoy playing around with this design- the possibilities are endless!
